Fashion Show Prep

So the last time I have actually been involved with putting on a fashion show was 5 years ago (Rose Garden Fashion Show). After the stress and time it took for that, I didn't feel brave enough to help again for half a decade. This time was well worth it, thanks to the other fabulous designers, and Jasin and his awesome backstage skills. Below are some photos I had time to take while prepping for the show the 48 hours before go time.

Finishing up last minute touches (we'll clean later)

Late night snack and energy (thanks Holly for the banana bread)

Gift bags for our lovely models and helpers.

Moving chairs.

Fuel for a full day.

Setting up.

Walk through, pre-model arrivals.

My favorite place.

Sorry, no photos of the aftermath.

cut table : essential

In my findings, a cut table is one of the most essential things. Well aside from sewing machines. Carolyn and I have moved to a new studio space last month and are still getting settled. We get our cut table this weekend. So that has lead to some creative fabric laying and cutting. Luckily it is just samples, not anything production. ha ha. I'm also a spoiled brat, since the cutting table at my work is 7 yards long.

Also, shoes do not make the best of pattern weights.
